Trefoil is a nine month old, beautiful male schnauzer who weighs 9-10 pounds. His coloring is black with tan highlights. He has wiry hair but is considered a non-shedding, hypoallergenic breed. This beautiful baby was dumped beside a road and ended up in an area shelter. He’s a total love but is understandably nervous about being in a car. This little boy loves to love. He wants to be close to his person and will literally jump into your arms. He has another schnauzer at his foster home and Trefoil loves him. He would do well with another dog in his new home. He loves to play and loves other dogs his size. Because of being dumped and abandoned, Trefoil does have some separation anxiety. He would do best with someone who either works from home or is retired and is home most of the time. He loves to sit in your lap and can be a bit possessive of it at first, but then he evens out when he realizes you’re not going to abandon him. This poor baby just needs lots of love and reassurance.
Trefoil does great on a leash and enjoys the teenagers in his foster home. He must have a privacy fenced yard as he can climb chain link fences. He will reluctantly sleep in his crate at night but much prefers to sleep with his humans.
Trefoil is used to a doggy door and has had only a couple of accidents in the past two weeks at his foster home.
