Meet Slushee!
Approx. 5-year-old Schnauzer and Professional Snack Enthusiast
Slushee is a happy little guy with a big personality and an even bigger love for food. Meals, treats, crumbs on the floor—if it’s edible, Slushee is interested. He never misses a bite and would happily remind you if you ever forget snack time.
This handsome fellow is potty trained and kennel trained, making him an easy addition to a home. He does well with other dogs, but honestly, Slushee prefers to do his own thing and would be perfectly content as an only dog where he can soak up all the attention. While he’s generally easygoing, he can get a bit grumbly about sharing highvalue items like bones… but let’s be real—who wants to share toys anyway?
Because Slushee’s love for food sometimes makes him forget that fingers are involved during treat time, he’ll need a little help learning to take treats gently. He can’t help it, his belly just gets a bit too excited.
Slushee does have special medical needs. He has an autoimmune skin condition called Pemphigus foliaceus, which will require several lifetime medications and routine vet monitoring. We are working diligently to get him into full remission and are getting very close! He will also need daily eye drops for life. Slushee is a champ about his care and takes it all in stride.
Underneath it all, Slushee is a sweet, resilient boy ready for a calm, loving home with people who appreciate his quirks, his scruffy charm, and his unstoppable dedication to snacks.
