Neon is an absolute darling 3 month old Yorkie puppy who weighs 5 pounds. She is spayed and microchipped and has had her appropriate puppy shots. As you can tell from her pictures, she’s an active and playful little thing. She would love to have some Nyla bones and tug of war ropes for chewing and small tennis balls for chasing and learning to play fetch.
Until Neon is over the age of one year old, she needs to be kept away from dog parks, doggy day care and even walks on sidewalks. Places where other dogs have been can be locations where the deadly Parvo virus can be picked up by your dog. It’s very contagious and often fatal.
Puppyhood is a great time to begin basic obedience training. Teaching her to sit, stay, down, and leave it are great beginning steps for her. She is currently working on housetraining and crate training. She will stay in a crate at night but much prefers sleeping in your bed with you. We can give you tips on successfully achieving housetraining.
Since Neon is so small, she needs to be adopted by a family or person with no children under ten in the home. Her smallness makes her more fragile and susceptible to injuries from a fall, drop, or tumble. In addition, older children can easily be taught the proper and safe way to handle a small puppy.
Neon is very active and will need lots of play time and exercise with her humans and possibly another small young dog. At this stage, she is exuberant, confident and fearless! The world is her oyster right now and she believes everyone loves her and is her friend. With the right family, that happy attitude will grow up with her.
Neon will be an exciting, lovable and cuddly addition to your family with a lifetime of love to provide.
As you can see, I’m a bundle of joy just waiting for you!
