Lady Mustang is a beautiful standard poodle. She is very sweet and loving, but she is heartworm positive. We expect her to make a full recovery and live a long happy life. She will need to be adopted in the Tulsa or OKC area so she can be seen and monitored by the rescue veterinary partners during her treatment and recovery.
Lady Mustang's best friend is Lady Eagle and they would love to be adopted together so they can remain besties, but it’s not mandatory. Both dogs are friendly and social and do great with other dogs.
Lady Mustang loves children and adults of all ages. While her friend likes to play fetch, Lady Eagle likes to watch, chew a good chew toy, and cuddle with her people. She is politely playful and cuddles are her favorite thing. Lady Mustang is also very skinny and not food possessive at all. In fact, she is more than happy to share her food with her friends. She may need to eat alone until she gets to a better weight. Lady Mustang is a bit stubborn and although she will follow commands, she doesn't do it as quickly as you might want. She would much rather cuddle than follow directions. She is crate trained and a smart girl!
Lady Mustang would benefit from an active and loving family. She's a sweetheart.
