Dog Adoption Application

The application process takes 2-3 weeks and consists of a vet reference check, personal reference checks, and a virtual home visit
Applications are only good for 1 year; after the year is up, you will need to submit a new application and go through the application process again.
One application is good for any of our dogs (as we see fit)
Let your references know we will be calling to speed up the process
You can put any dog down, even if you are not interested in that specific dog or want to get approved and wait for the perfect dog
DO NOT use family members as your references
If you are UNDER 21 or OVER 80 years old, we require a co-applicant (the co-applicant needs to be someone who will take care of the dog if you can not, and they need to fill out an application as well)
Oklahoma Westie Rescue is a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization. We will make every effort to schedule your home visit promptly. Please be patient with us…the dog needs our time, too
All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all shots before adoption
Adoption fees range from $250 to $800, based on the age and health of each animal
AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION:

- 65+ are not approved for puppies under 1 year old
- 75-80 are approved for dogs older than 4 years
- 80+ are approved for dogs that are 7 years or older
