My name is Ernie. Nobody is quite certain of my age but me and I'm not talkin'! The dogtor thinks I'm about 4-5 years old. I came from a very bad place covered with fleas and ticks and missing a bunch of my beautiful white fur. Some nice folks at the animal shelter in Heavener, OK called Oklahoma Westie Rescue because they said I was too cute to put to sleep (whatever that means). Anyway, I am happy to be here and I am
9 1/2 pounds of pure Westie love and devotion!
I have a lot to learn. I am working on potty training, but my foster Mom puts this thing on me called a belly band to remind me that I need to potty outside so I don't have to wear it anymore. I am trying hard to remember! I am learning about toys and I found out that I like to play fetch! They tell me this is highly unusual for a Westie, but I think it's fun!
When I'm not playing, I am following my humans. My Mom says my tail is like a Metronome. It constantly wags because I am so darned HAPPY! I am a good boy too and sleep all night in my crate without a peep.
However, I would be glad to sleep in your big bed if you would let me.

Application and be approved to adopt prior to being able
to meet the dog. Oklahoma Westie Rescue will only adopt
to applicants who reside within the following states: OK, AR,
MO, KS and TX. If you live outside these areas OR if you have
children under the age of 10, please do not
apply for this dog.
Preference is given to homes with fenced yards. We do not
ship our pets. Be prepared to travel to Tulsa, OK, or Oklahoma
City, OK, to pick up this dog in person if your
application is approved. The requested adoption donation for
this dog is $250. |
